United StatesCoach Cecil Avant comes to Nona Basketball Academy with years of both training coaching experience. As a former player, Cecil played point guard who went on to play at Florida Gulf Coast University and Nova Southeastern University. After his collegiate playing career, he coached at the collegiate level at the University of New England in 2013.
Cecil was also the high school boys’ varsity Head Coach at South Plantation High School in South Florida from 2014-2020 before moving to Orlando and helping the Cypress Creek High School and Lake Nona High School girls’ varsity programs while also being the Head Skills trainer here at Nona Basketball Academy.
