About Nona Basketball

The Nona Basketball Academy was formed in 2020 out of pure passion for the game of basketball and the Lake Nona community. We offer competitive travel teams for boys & girls between 3rd grade and high school.

Our main focus is to develop a true passion for the game of basketball for the aspiring basketball players of Lake Nona. The Nona Basketball Academy family will receive nothing but the best training & coaching — PERIOD. It’s our goal to teach players the fundamentals, sharpen their skills, compete at a high level — all while keeping the game fun & refreshing.

Nona Basketball Academy is going to truly put “basketball on the map” in Southeast Orlando. Our players will get maximum exposure to teams, tournaments and coaches at all levels from around the globe. If it’s your kids dream to play basketball at the “next level” — Nona Basketball Academy will prepare him or her with the skills and exposure needed to get there.

The Nona Basketball Academy was built upon our vision to deliver a basketball product for kids that is exceptional. A place where basketball brings everyone together and where “basketball is only half our story” is the foundation of our culture. The ground product continues to deliver while keeping our focus within the Nona Basketball Pillars of Success; Community, Basketball, Development, Coaches.

Nona Basketball Academy Programs

AAU TEAMS
We offer competitive AAU teams for both boys and girls. Our teams run from 9U all the way up to Varsity High School. All teams will be coached by first-class well respected coaches. Kids on our teams will learn basketball, play at a competitive level, and most importantly be treated as part of the Nona Basketball family.

SKILLS TRAINING
Skills training is a huge part of the Nona Basketball Academy. We are blessed to have some of the highest profile and most elite trainers committed to working with our Nona Basketball players. We focus on teaching ball handling, speed & agility, shooting, and more. When you are a part of our academy, you will get trained by the best.

OPEN GYMS & SHOOTING
Many times players just want to simply get in the gym. We will hold many open gym formats where we do just that — OPEN THE GYM. Our players will have the opportunity to come in and shoot, do some skills training, and play pickup games in a more casual fun environment. All open gyms will be monitored by a Nona Basketball coach.
SUMMER CAMPS
The summer is the best time to work on your basketball game. The difference between good and great players is the work they put in during the offseason. We are holding two 1-week camps for the Lake Nona basketball community. These camps will be a combination of skills, fun games, competitive games, training, learning moments, speakers and more.

LEAGUES & EVENTS
In the future, the Nona Basketball Academy will be hosting a number of different leagues and events. From local recreational leagues, to adult leagues, to 3 on 3 tournaments — we will constantly be bringing basketball opportunities to our community.
